We’re increasing our code-share flights to Mexico and Belgrade

Now that we’ve expanded our code-share agreements with Aeromexico, Aeroflot and Air Serbia, you can fly to Mexico from Barcelona, to Moscow from Palma de Mallorca and to Belgrade from Madrid or Barcelona with Air Europa.

These alliances let us offer our passengers more flight options, with all the advantages of flying with code-share, while driving our internationalisation with new destinations and expanding our operating range.

Starting this summer, we’ll be offering our customers the option of flying to Mexico with a frequency of three flights a week from Barcelona airport. The expansion of the agreement we’ve held with Aeromexico for more than a decade also includes an increase to our number of domestic flights within the country.

Since last June, this alliance has been applied to domestic flights from Mexico City to Oaxaca, Mérida, Querétaro and Guanajuato, in addition to our pre-existing code-share destinations of Veracruz, Cancún, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Aguascalientes, San José del Cabo and Puerto Vallarta.

Code share with Air Serbia and Aeroflot

Air Europa also offers code-share flights with Air Serbia to Belgrade from different European cities. As of this summer, it’s offering customers the possibility of flying from Madrid on Wednesdays and Sundays and from Barcelona on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

This summer we’re also connecting Palma de Mallorca and Moscow four times a week thanks to our agreement with Aeroflot, Russia’s national airline and a member of SkyTeam, with which Air Europa already flies from Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga and Alicante to the Russian capital.

Code-share agreements generate important benefits for airlines by giving passengers more journey-planning options and letting them travel with a single ticket, one-stop check-in, access to VIP lounges in certain airports and connections with minimum waiting times.
