Air Europa takes one step further in its growth plan and will have a total of 27 Dreamliners in its long-haul fleet with the aim of establishing itself among the best airlines in the world.

The second phase of fleet renovation, which begun last February, saw the arrival of the first two Boeing Dreamliner 787-9 aircraft. Since then, three new Dreamliners have been added to our fleet and a further five, up from the original planned three, will be delivered in 2019 in order to continue consolidating our position as a leading airline.

More specifically, we’re adding five new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, and will be incorporating the remaining twelve gradually between 2020 and 2021. These new aircraft will complete our current Dreamliner lineup (8 Boeing 787-8 and 2 Boeing 787-9).

Just like the Boeing 787-8, the 787-9 aircraft combines a comfortable interior with an exceptional environmental performance. It has greater capacity for passengers and cargo, reduces emissions by 20% and its noise impact is 60% lower than other aircraft of the same size. This plane also features Gate to Gate connectivity, which allows passengers to connect to the WiFi service during each stage of the flight.

The first Boeing Dreamliner 787-8 arrived in 2016, and since then we’ve transported more than 2.5 million passengers in our Dreamliner fleet. Our current network of Dreamliner Destinations includes: Miami, Bogotá, Santo Domingo, Lima, Tel Aviv, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires , which is currently being operated by our two B787-9.
